Tamil Nadu Road Transport Corporation buses connect Rameshwaram with all cities in Tamil Nadu, including Kanyakumari, Madurai, Trichy and Thanajvur. Overnight deluxe super fast buses connect Chennai and Bangalore with Rameshwarm, both cities are nearly 600 km away. The bus fare is about Rs 1700.

GOA - INDIA

The Goa international airport is located at Dabolim, which is at a distance of 29 km away from Panaji. The airport connects the domestic cities as well as international cities in U.K. and Germany. Daily services are available from Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai and other important cities of India.

The major railway stations in Goa are Margao and Vasco-da-gama. These stations are in the Konkan railway line and are well connected to Mumbai and other parts of the country.

Kadamba bus stand of Panaji is the main bus station. The state owned bus services of states Goa, Maharashtra and Karnataka operate from this station. These buses connect cities in Goa to in and out of the state Goa. Super deluxe A/C buses are available from Mumbai (580 km) and from Bangalore (650 km). It will cost around Rs 1500-Rs 2000.

Sea route is another way to reach here. Shipping services from Mumbai to Panaji are available. Vacation cruises are offered by some tourist companies for enjoying the marine life of Goa.

MYSORE PALACE - INDIA

Mysore palace is located right in the heart of the city. The city bus stand is located at a corner of the palace. In fact the Myosre city bus stand and the palace share a common wall.

The mufesal bus stand – the KSRTC Bus Stand – from where long distance buses are operated is located at couple of kilometers away from the palace.

In fact it is possible to walk from the bus stand to the north gate and the east gate of the palace. Its about 1 kilometer(½ mile ). The south gate is another 1 kilometer (½ mile ). Note that the ticket counter is located at the south gate. A road and a footpath goes around the outer wall of the palace compound.From the bus stand area to the palace ticket counter it is about 15 minutes ( Rs 15 to 25) ride by an auto rickshaw.

The Mysore railway station is relatively far from the palace, with respect to the bus stand ( 2½ km /1½ mile ). Hire an auto rickshaw to the palace. Or you can even catch a city bus to the palace locality.

TAJ MAHAL - INDIA

One can opt for any of the three modes of transport i.e. air, rail or road. Agra is well connected by regular flights and it takes about half an hour to reach the city of the Taj from Delhi. If you like to enjoy the local flavour and want to have feel of India, road transport is the best option to tour Agra. You can hire a taxi or take a bus from any of the major cities like Delhi, Jaipur and Mathura. Agra is 220 km from Delhi.

For sightseeing in Agra you can opt for taxis, autos-rickshaws or tongas. Bicycles are also available and can be hired on an hourly basis. A note of caution: the area around Taj Mahal is a pollution free zone and no diesel or petrol vehicles are allowed. Battery-operated buses, rickshaws and horse-driven tongas are common means of transport.
